Ron Shegda for PA State Representative 136th District

WISDOM, LEADERSHIP & GOOD BUDGET SENSE

In the last 25 Years, Pennsylvania’s State Budget, Taxes and

Debt have all gone through the roof.  In 1982, PA’s General

Fund was $7.6 billion.  In 2008 it’s over $27 billion!

The State income tax was 2.2%.  Today it’s 3.07%—up 40%!!

Since 2003, State spending has increased over 2½ times the

rate of inflation!!!  During this time State Government Bond

Debt has skyrocketed to over $37 billion -- about $3,000.00 per person, or $12,000.00 for a family of four!  Who can afford this debt repayment?  Two State Pension Funds will soon bankrupt us.

Our population has been stable, meaning that government

keeps spending more and more of Your money.  In 2006, an

$840 million State surplus was gobbled up by Harrisburg.  In

2007, it was $650 million not being returned to You, the

Taxpayer.  Harrisburg needs Conservative Citizens in The

House of Representatives and Senate—the General Assembly.
